A warm, welcoming presence and a safe space to talk
Welcome, and thank you for visiting my website.
Life can feel overwhelming at times, and it isn’t always easy to know where to turn. You may have been carrying a lot on your own for a long time.
I offer a warm, compassionate space where you can talk openly, express yourself freely, and feel truly heard.
I provide short and long-term counselling for adults of all ages and backgrounds. I will always work at your pace and within the ethical guidelines of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society, of which I am a member.

As an integrative counsellor, I tailor my approach to suit you as an individual, drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches to support your needs. I offer a non-judgemental and supportive space where you can explore whatever is going on for you.
Together, we can gently make sense of your thoughts and feelings, helping you to develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships. I won’t tell you what to do or give advice, but I will support you in finding your own way forward at a pace that feels right for you.
There are many reasons people come to counselling. You don’t need to have everything figured out—sometimes it begins with a sense that things feel difficult, confusing, or not quite right.
Some of the areas we can explore together include:
Bereavement, grief, and loss
Life changes and transitions
Anxiety, including health anxiety
Low mood and depression
Feelings of guilt or shame
Relationship difficulties
Self-esteem and confidence
Experiences from childhood, including trauma
Experiences of abuse
This list isn’t exhaustive, and whatever you are going through, you are welcome to bring it to our sessions.
In your first session, you are invited to share as much or as little of your story as you feel comfortable. There is no pressure, no judgement, or fixed agenda. From there, we can begin to explore what is going on for you, noticing patterns, and helping you to gain a clearer understanding of yourself, your relationships, and your situation.
Sessions last one hour and usually take place weekly. My standard fee is £50 per session; however, I offer some concessions and a limited number of subsidised spaces for those on a low income. Please don’t let cost be a barrier—if you feel you need support, you are very welcome to get in touch to discuss what options may be available.
I offer a free, no-obligation initial phone call to talk through what you’re looking for, answer any questions, and help you to feel at ease working with me. I believe the relationship between counsellor and client is at the heart of effective counselling, so it’s important that you feel comfortable from the start. Contact me to arrange a free initial call.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how counselling works, or to arrange an initial assessment appointment. This enables us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to counselling, whether it could be helpful for you and whether I am the right therapist to help.
You can also call me on 07976296859 if you would prefer to leave a message or speak to me first. I am happy to discuss any queries or questions you may have prior to arranging an initial appointment.
All enquires are usually answered within 24 hours, and all contact is strictly confidential and uses secure phone and email services.
I offer in-person counselling from a welcoming and private space within the Greenspace Counselling Hub on Mutley Plain, Plymouth. I also offer telephone or online sessions via Microsoft Teams if preferred.
